The Saint Edmunds Basketball Club is the largest junior domestic club playing in the K&MDBA (Kilsyth & Mountain Districts Basketball Association).
We cater for boys and girls, and field teams ranging in age from U/7 & U/8 Mini-Ball up to U/21. These teams play in various grades dependant upon the skill level of the players, and we have teams playing in A, A Reserve, B, B Reserve, and C grades. Many of our players progress through to Representative level playing for the Kilsyth Cobra's, and have gone on to represent Victoria at the National Championships.
It is a club policy that all coaches are required to undergo and pass a WWCC (Working With Children Check), and we strongly encourage and support them to complete NCAS (National Coaching Accreditation Scheme) qualifications via various courses that are conducted by Basketball Victoria.
CLUB PHILOSOPHY The Saints exist to provide a safe, happy and healthy sporting atmosphere for children and families with the emphasis on the joy of competition, rather than just winning, whilst providing quality leadership for the juniors in good teamwork and exemplary sportsmanship. It strives to provide opportunities for girls and boys to develop their skills and to compete at a level of competition within their individual capabilities. |
